For use with smart thermostats, the installation process is straightforward:

1. Cut off power to the circuit breaker.
2. Connect the wire from the 24-volt adapter to the "C" terminal, and the other wire to the "RC" terminal. If the HVAC system has a cooling function, use the included jumper to connect the "RH" and "RC" terminals.
3. Plug the power adapter into the socket and restore power to the circuit breaker.
4. Reinstall the thermostat panel.
