C-WIRE POWER ADAPTER REQUIRED: Before purchasing, it's important to check the compatibility of this thermostat with your home and determine if a C-wire power adapter is needed.

COMPATIBLE WITH: The thermostat is compatible with forced air (gas, oil, or electric), hot water and steam, and heat pumps with electric backup. It does not work with electric baseboard heat (120-240V), and a C-Wire is required.

The thermostat also works with most heat/cool oil furnace systems, but it will not work with heating-only oil furnace systems unless a C-Wire is present.
