Programmable Thermostats for Home HVAC Systems

The programmable thermostat features a single-stage 1 heat/1 cool configuration with a 5-1-1 day programming capability. It is designed to be compatible with both electric and gas systems, and includes separate terminals for B and O connections. The thermostat also offers separate heating and cooling swing (cycle rate) adjustments, as well as an air filter change indicator that can be toggled on or off.

For precise temperature control, the thermostat provides a room temperature calibration adjustment feature, allowing for accurate readings within +/- 1 degree Fahrenheit. It also includes a 5-minute compressor delay protection function, which can be selected to be on or off, to help extend the lifespan of the HVAC system's compressor.

The large, 4.5-square-inch LCD display features a blue backlight, making it easy to read, even in low-light conditions. Users can choose between Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature display, as well as a 12-hour or 24-hour clock format.

The thermostat can be powered by either 24VAC or 2 AAA batteries, and does not require a common wire (C-wire) for most single-stage systems, except for heat-only or cool-only setups.

The package includes the S705 programmable thermostat, 2 screws and anchors, an operation manual, an installation manual, and a cable label.

In addition to the programmable S705 model, the manufacturer also offers non-programmable (S701) and 2 heat/2 cool (S715) variants, each with their own unique features and specifications.

It is not suitable for multistage heating and cooling, heat pumps, dual-fuel/hybrid heating, mini-split systems, electric baseboard heat, convectors, radiant ceiling heat, or 12V RV thermostats.
